Mark Williams, Esq. Appointed as Successor

August 26th, 2016 – After 48 years as a highly experienced cosmetic industry and pharmaceutical executive, and six years of outstanding vision and leadership at ZO Skin Health, Inc., Jim Headley, President and CEO, will retire effective September 6th, 2016. Mark Williams, Esq., who currently serves on the board of directors for ZO Skin Health, Inc., will assume the role.

Before joining ZO Skin Health, Inc., Headley held various executive positions at the Estée Lauder Companies and was Vice President of Sales at Warner Cosmetics (now Ralph Lauren Fragrance Division of L'Oréal, USA). He was the president and CEO of World Wide Products, which produced and marketed the original Obagi Nu-Derm® System. After he completed a turnaround of the company, Headley initiated and completed the sale of the company to what is now Obagi Medical Products, Inc.

Headley took over ZO Skin Health, Inc. in 2011. Under his leadership, the Company has experienced exponential growth year over year. Sales have had a compound annual growth rate of 68% during his tenure, with the Company selling to over 7,000 physicians worldwide in 106 countries, and achieving its goal of being recognized as one of the most innovative companies in the industry. Headley created the ZO® Difference by selling products only through the physician-dispensed channel, and worked hard to reconnect the patient and physician by implementing a number of innovative measures, including controlled distribution — eliminating third-party internet sales and taking a hard line against internet pirates and discounters. He also introduced exceptional practice management techniques by establishing a dedicated three-person account team to help partnering physicians strengthen and grow their dispensing practice. He penned a book, The Proven Dispensing MethodTM: Optimize Your Bottom Line with Nine Core Elements to Successful Dispensing, which he licensed to the company for use by its accounts.

Headley’s successor, Mark Williams, Esq., graduated with a BA in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Creighton University School of Law. Williams has significant expertise in the health care and pharmaceutical industries and has advised a wide variety of health care entities — including doctors, ambulatory surgery centers, physicians' groups, dentists, wellness companies and pharmaceutical operations. He sits on the board of directors for several businesses, and has developed growth strategies for a number of companies, helping them maintain strong topline and bottom line growth, even those with maturing business models. Williams also regularly counsels clients on day-to-day matters, transactions and corporate strategy issues. With his combined business acumen, experience in multiple industries and advanced knowledge of technology, ZO Skin Health, Inc. is thrilled to bring him onboard as the company’s new President and CEO. Williams is committed to continuing ZO’s growth trajectory by leveraging both his strong background in the industry and his extensive experience as a company advisor.
